Spurs transfer boost… summer rebel still wants move

Saido Berahino is stalling on signing a new contract with West Brom with a big move still on his agenda, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The 22-year-old almost joined Spurs as the summer transfer window ticked towards its close, but the Baggies dug their heels in to keep their man despite numerous bids from their London rivals.

Berahino himself took that news badly and claimed that he would never play for West Brom again after what he perceived to be poor treatment from the club.

However, he has since made a goalscoring return to Tony Pulis’ XI, but reports suggest that he’s still reluctant to commit himself to the Midlands outfit with big move appealing.

Spurs are likely to be extremely interested, with the club having already been linked with a January move for the Englishman, whose current deal at The Hawthorns expires in just over six months’ time.
