West Brom got back to winning ways with a rather comfortable 1-0 win over Wigan on Saturday, but how will their FA Cup success influence Darren Moore’s Championship plans?

On the Chalkboard

Bakary Sako’s first Albion goal was enough to lift the Baggies past Wigan on Saturday, and there were loads of positives to take from the match.

Chris Brunt was fantastic, new signing Mason Holgate looked solid and composed at right back, and Kyle Bartley will be proud of his performance after a run of poor form.

There’s no question who the best of the lot was though – 18 year-old Rekeem Harper.

The teenager was fantastic in midfield alongside Brunt and Sam Field, so is he the man to step up during Jake Livermore’s ban?

Win it with kids?

With a home clash against second-place Norwich to come next weekend before difficult away trips to Bolton and QPR, Livermore really couldn’t have picked a worse time to earn himself a four-game ban.

Several of his potential replacements are well into their thirties, so Moore should consider freshening things up, rewarding Harper for his superb FA Cup showing.

The 18 year-old was calm and composed on the ball against Wigan, showed great recovery speed and athleticism when defending, and will be a much better option against a superb Norwich side than the tiring legs of Gareth Barry and Brunt.

So, West Brom fans, which youngsters impressed you on Saturday? Should Harper start against Norwich? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
