WBA boss keeping tabs on Lazerevic

Slovenian Dejan Lazarevic

Genoa midfielder Dejan Lazarevic could be on his way to West Bromwich Albion as Steve Clarke is reportedly watching him.

The Baggies boss has stressed that he wants to bolster his squad further in the summer to avoid other clubs “charging past” them following an impressive Premier League campaign, in which they occupy eighth position with six games remaining.

Clarke is already putting the hard work in with regards to scouting potential new faces as reports in Tutto Mercato in Italy are claiming he wants to lure 23-year-old Lazarevic from the Serie A side.

The Slovenian has worked his way through the Genoa youth ranks and is enjoying a successful loan season with Serie B outfit Modena, where he has scored five goals in 28 appearances.

Lazarevic also has three caps for his country and it seems Clarke could make an offer to try and take him to the Hawthorns when the summer transfer window opens.
