They are unbeaten in four, four points clear of second-placed rivals Leeds United and seven points free of the strain of the playoffs – that’s even despite a run of seven matches without a win over the festive period.
With 13 games to go, the Baggies are in a solid position, but Slaven Bilic’s assistant coach Danilo Butorovic has tempted fate slightly this week after his recent upload on Instagram.
Many across the land believe the number 13 is an ominous sign of bad luck, it’s even synonymous with misfortune – some buildings will not have a 13th floor, and many will avoid buying a house or getting wed on the 13th day of the month.
The Telegraph even once revealed that the number 13 was the least frequently drawn in the lottery.
Butorovic has called Albion’s final matches in the Championship as the “lucky 13 left” which is slightly tempting the gods if you’re of similar belief to that above.
Of course, this is all tongue in cheek, but after West Brom flopping it in the playoffs last season, no one at the Hawthorns will want to see a repeat this time around.
