West Brom have merely a week left if they are to bolster Slaven Bilic's playing squad ahead of a hectic promotion push, and BirminghamLive reporter Joe Chapman has provided an insight into where they may look to strengthen.

What's he said?

The Baggies have faltered over the past two months, no matter which way you put it. They are now without a victory in six league games, have won once in seven overall and have barely kept a clean sheet all season - just 18% of matches to be precise.

Bilic was handed a boost this week after West Ham boss David Moyes effectively confirmed loan star Grady Diangana will remain at the Hawthorns for the remainder of the season. However, he is once again injured and could miss another month.

Matheus Pereira is now suspended for the next three games too, so it appears Albion's focus has been put on strengthening the forward department, at least according to Chapman.

He said:

Not the only worry

Bilic currently has three strikers in his ranks while he is also able to call upon Kyle Edwards, Chris Willock and Filip Krovinovic to fill the void left behind by both Pereira and Diangana.

It may be wise to focus attention elsewhere, or at least consider it in some part. Plenty of West Brom's struggles this campaign have been in defence.

If you were told that the league leaders were without a clean sheet at home all season, then you'd be quite surprised. Well, that's the story for Bilic's Baggies.

The situation at left-back is one major problem with increasing uncertainty growing over the future of Nathan Ferguson, who is often the first port of call when Kieran Gibbs is injured (very often this season). The club are open to selling him this month.

It means Conor Townsend is the current starter, and fans believe he's a League One player at best.

Who the heck is that?! Can you name all of these obscure West Brom players...

The centre-back partnership between Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley was broken up on Monday night with Ahmed Hegazi coming in, and it didn't stop the side from shutting out the opposition.

Albion could probably do with cover in attack but improving their defence should be high on the agenda.

And in other news, West Brom's pursuit of this attacking duo is bordering on "impossible" according to another journalist...
