West Brom contemplating move for out-of-favour Liverpool attacker

The Birmingham Mail are reporting that West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is hoping to make extensive additions to his squad before the start of the new campaign, with the Welshman identifying a number of potential targets including Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert.

Pulis is believed to be keen on bringing in a new attacker – especially if there is truth to the speculation linking Baggies star striker Saido Berahino with a move to Tottenham Hotspur – and may make a move for Reds hitman Rickie Lambert.

The 33-year-old endured a tough debut season at Anfield last year, scoring just three goals in 36 appearances, and has now moved further down the Reds pecking order following the signing of Danny Ings, the return of Divock Origi following a loan spell at Lille and the expected transfer of Aston Villa hitman Christian Benteke.

Pulis is also believed to be interested in Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio.

The Championship club have insisted that the 25-year-old is not for sale but it is understood the player may well agitate for a move.
