According to Sky Sports, Watford have agreed a £5.5m fee with West Bromwich Albion for the transfer of central defender Craig Dawson.
The 29-year-old has been with West Brom since 2010, making 225 appearances for the Baggies in all competitions.
According to Sky Sports, the defender is nearing an exit as Watford have agreed a £5.5m deal for the Rochdale-born ace.
However, it would be fair to say that the West Brom fans feel that the reported transfer fee is far too low.
Dawson’s current deal with the Baggies will expire next summer, which goes a long way to explaining the price.

He has plenty of experience at Premier League level, though, and will not turn 30 until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the club’s fans can be viewed below:
Is it literally only our club that thinks the market is still the way it was 5+ years ago..? 5 million for Dawson in today’s numbers is a joke. Might aswell give him away for free! #wba

I know he’s only got one year left on his contract but £5.5 million, that’s a steal if correct.

Sold to cheap worth a lot more

£5.5m feels a bit underwhelming in terms of a fee for Dawson, I was hoping we would stretch to nearer £10m. #wba

5.5 mil for Dawson? Surely there’s gotta be cash plus player for that deal??? #wba
