West Brom fans on Twitter vented their frustration with striker Jay Rodriguez after he missed a hatful of chances in the Baggies’ 1-1 draw with Brentford on Monday evening, with some even claiming that he should be sold in the January transfer window.
The Baggies had an incredible 16 shots in the first 45 minutes of the game at the Hawthorns, but their finishing left much to be desired and the two sides went into the break at 0-0.
Rodriguez was the one who missed the first big chance as he sliced the ball over the bar when he had an open goal from Harvey Barnes’ low cross.

Darren Moore’s side eventually did break the deadlock through Barnes in the 77th minute, only for them to throw it away in stoppage time as Brentford substitute Lewis Macleod was gifted a free header.
Rodriguez has netted nine goals and provided two assists in 20 games for West Brom so far this season in the Championship, but this didn’t stop the fans fuming at him after the Brentford game.

Kanu isn't the problem. We were far more effective with him on the pitch. Rodriguez must make way for Gayle going forward. Awful player even in this division. Terribly disappointing result. #wba
