West Bromwich Albion's official Twitter account wished highly-rated midfielder Rekeem Harper a happy birthday on Friday, and Baggies fans were quick to react.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at The Hawthorns which has resulted in him being linked with moves to Premier League clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Sun on Sunday via HITC, and it is something that could be a real possibility right now seeing as his contract with the west Midlands outfit expires in June.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that positive negotiations between all parties have so far failed to find a resolution, with manager Darren Moore stating: "We want him to stay here".

The teenager has made 16 first-team appearances under the 44-year-old this term, and has produced some eye-catching displays despite his tender years.

West Brom supporters have taken to social media to give their thoughts on the message, and while one said they "have a horrible feeling he's gonna walk on a free", another said "good luck at your new club next season".
