West Bromwich Albion extended their lead at the top of the Championship table on Sunday afternoon with a fine 2-0 victory over Millwall at the Den.

The Baggies moved four points clear of the chasing pack with second place Leeds United losing to Nottingham Forest yesterday.

Slaven Bilic's side took the lead right before half-time through his fellow countryman Filip Krovinovic, who fans have been waxing lyrical about his performance, after he curled home an effort from the edge of the box.

Dara O'Shea then headed home the winner six minutes from time when he glanced in a Kamil Grosicki corner.

The Croatian kept his place in the starting line up even with usual number ten Matheus Pereira returning from suspension, which is only a mark on how well he has been playing in his absence.

Here's what has been said:

There was an array of superlatives used to describe his display, ranging from "outstanding" to "cracking" whilst one Albion supporter claimed they had witnessed a "masterclass" from the Benfica loanee.

It was the Croatian's third straight start in the Baggies lineup and his second goal of the season, via Transfermarkt.

His performance quite rightfully earned the Man of the Match award - per SofaScore, Krovinovic recorded four key passes, two shots on target and two successful dribbles as well as managing a passing accuracy of 80% from 44 passes.

Plenty of fans were in agreement.

"Absolutely superb" and "deserved" were two reviews of his award-winning display whilst another claimed he was the best player on the pitch.

It led to one fan shouting at the club to sign him permanently at the end of the season...
