Albion Under-23 midfielder Oliver Burke is having a sensational run of form in the Premier League 2, leading to calls for a run in the first-team.

Burke arrived at the Hawthorns in August 2017, having been allowed to leave by RB Leipzig after just one season, but is yet to forge a first team role for himself.

Manager Darren Moore has even put the Scotsman on a dedicated training program in a bid to ignite his career for the club, and has so far seen the rewards in the PL2 with four goals in four games, including a brace last time out against Fulham on Friday.

Across the player’s debut season back in England, Burke featured in 15 Premier League matches, all without a goal, with his best record coming back in 2016-17 when he netted four times in five games at Nottingham Forest before his move to Germany went through.

The 15 Premier League appearances last season totalled 358 minutes of action, having twice started for the Baggies and assisted two goals.

Now with Jake Livermore suspended, having seen red at the weekend in West Brom’s defeat to Wigan, fans are calling for the 21-year-old from Kirkcaldy to feature in Wednesday's home match against Derby County.
