West Brom winger Kyle Edwards enjoyed his 22nd birthday yesterday and former teammate Tyler Roberts, who is now at title rivals Leeds United, sent him a warm throwback image on Instagram.

The pair grew up together and progressed through the Baggies academy between 2006 and 2018, and even though Roberts was sold to the Whites, it's clear the two are still on very good terms.

Roberts posted a couple of videos and pictures from their time together at Albion, including this one of Edwards wearing a thick jumper underneath his West Brom kit...

The 21-year-old was only able to feature once for the senior side before he departed the Hawthorns, whilst his ex-teammate has gone on to feature fairly regularly under Slaven Bilic this term.

Edwards has made 26 senior appearances in all competitions, scoring and assisting two goals apiece, per Transfermarkt.

West Brom and Leeds United currently occupy the two top spots in the Championship, and if that continues into May, there will be a very good chance the duo will be playing in the Premier League, albeit for different teams but his message that he has "come a long way" would certainly ring true.
