West Brom have been nothing short of dominant in the Championship this season.

The Baggies have lost just four league games all season, and they’re nine points clear of third place with just 12 matches to go.

The Midlands club were on the verge of promotion last term, failing in the playoff semi-finals, but despite being without last term’s two top scorers, they’ve come back a stronger side.

Of course, they’re shaping up quite differently these days under Slaven Bilic, and two additions they made in the summer have been pivotal in their promotion push.

Grady Diangana and Matheus Pereira arrived at The Hawthorns on loan in the summer, and they immediately became two of the club’s most important attacking players.

The West Ham loanee has played fewer games than the Brazilian due to his recent injury problems, but when he has played he’s been every bit as good as Pereira.

He has a better minutes per goal record, and while his minutes per assist record isn’t as good he’s a more direct player than the Sporting loanee.

Pereira just about edges it when it comes to having a higher average rating, but both men are near to the top of the club’s chart on that metric.

In the end, it doesn’t matter who the better player is - they both play for the same team and make a huge impact when they’re on the pitch.

Luke Dowling deserves all the praise in the world for bringing these two men in - surely they will be amongst the leading candidates for the Player of the Year award at the Hawthorns.

In other news, one West Brom star has been showing he’s too good for the Championship.
