Things couldn’t be going much better for West Brom at the moment.

The Midlands outfit are top of the Championship and they’ve won four of their last five league games, including their last two against playoff hopefuls Preston and Bristol City.

On paper, things are about to get a lot easier for Albion.

The Baggies face 22nd-place Wigan Athletic this weekend, and by all logic, this should be a walk in the park for the Baggies as the best team in the league come up against relegation contenders.

However, Wigan have been upsetting the odds quite a lot recently - they’ve lost just one of their previous seven games, and they’ve had some very impressive results during that run including a 1-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road and a 3-0 victory away at the Madejski Stadium against Reading.

Wigan may be down the bottom of the table, but they’re a dangerous side, and West Brom would be fools to underestimate them.

Here’s the XI we expect Slaven Bilic to field for their game against the Latics. We're tipping one change.

Unsurprisingly, there aren’t too many changes for Albion here.

Sam Johnstone retains his place in goal, and the back four remains the same.

Ahmed Hegazi beats Kyle Bartley to a starting spot this time around having kept his second clean sheet in a row after coming back into the starting XI for the Bristol City game.

Partnering Hegazi is Semi Ajayi following his heroic performance against Preston that saw him win 10 aerial duels. Meanwhile, Conor Townsend and Dara O’Shea play at full-back.

There is a change in the midfield as Gareth Barry comes in for Rekeem Harper after an unimpressive showing from the teenager this week. Romaine Sawyers is still out suspended.

Jake Livermore and Filip Krovinovic retain their spots in the middle, while the dangerous duo of Callum Robinson and Matheus Pereira play out wide.

Hal Robson-Kanu retains his place up top after a goal and assist against Preston.

In other news, Luke Dowling’s brilliant January move again proved to pay off this week.
