West Brom Transfer Roundup: Rondon bid rejected, approach made for Dawson, Harper update

Slaven Bilic will surely be continuing to work tirelessly at West Brom as he gets to grips with his new squad. Thursday’s Baggies transfer roundup includes a rejected bid for a star striker, an approach for a top defender and a boost in regards to a 19-year-old midfielder.

West Brom reject Rondon bid

Mexican outlet Medio Tiempo is reporting that West Brom have rejected a bid from Newcastle for Venezuelan Salomon Rondon. The 29-year-old, who spent last season on loan at St. James Park, was the subject of a €12m (£10.7m) bid, but the Baggies turned it down.

Dawson approach rejected

According to the Daily Mail, West Brom have rejected an approach from Watford for 29-year-old defender Craig Dawson. Dawson made 45 appearances for the Baggies last season, scoring three goals.

Harper edges towards new Baggies deal

West Brom are moving ever closer to getting Rekeem Harper to commit his future to them, according to Birmingham Live. Italian giants Juventus and Premier League pair Liverpool and Tottenham were reported to be amongst the clubs interested in the player, but West Brom are now optimistic he will stay at the Hawthorns.
