West Brom could have a fresh look to their starting line up next month, should Slaven Bilic land his reported targets.

The Baggies currently sit top of the Championship table going into matchday 28, holding a point over nearest challengers Leeds United.

However, form has slipped in recent weeks with the side winning just once in their last seven league outings. Had they picked up more results, then they almost certainly would be clear by a hefty margin.

It has allowed a rampant Brentford side to enter the mix as they now sit just seven points behind the automatic promotion spots.

This month gives Bilic a chance to bolster Albion's chances of clinching the title.

How West Brom could look after January

One saga that has rumbled on throughout the season has been surrounding the future of academy graduate Nathan Ferguson - he is yet to agree to terms to a new contract despite the club offering him a lucrative 20-fold increase on his current finances, per The Athletic.

According to the Express & Star, the club are prepared to sell him this month should a suitable offer come in whilst conflicting reports suggest the 19-year-old is waiting until the end of the season before moving abroad.

This problem is solved through the free transfer of former Swansea City full-back Martin Olsson, who is supposedly on trial at the Hawthorns - Ferguson has played two more games on the left than the right this season and with Kieran Gibbs constantly out injured, it is a desperate need.

Earlier this week Bilic confirmed his interest in another reported target, Mislav Orsic, so he seems a viable option to come in and strengthen Albion's attack. The 19-goal Croatian can play anywhere in the front three and would be available for £9m if Luke Dowling and co pay up.

The final addition could be in the form of a striker.

A whole host of names have been linked with the gig, but it is Karlan Grant, not Dwight Gayle, that should make the switch to the west Midlands.

The former loan star is far too expensive of an option, while the Huddersfield Town frontman who has scored 12 times this season is valued at just £4.5m by Transfermarkt.

Three new players for a shade under £15m isn't bad business at all.

Only time will tell what the future holds, but given there are only two weeks remaining in the transfer window, the wait won't be too long at all.
