According to The Athletic's Steve Madeley, West Brom's most likely deal this transfer window will be securing a move for Dinamo Zagreb winger Mislav Orsic.

What's he said?

The Baggies were defeated by Stoke City at the Hawthorns on Monday evening, making it a third league defeat of the season and sixth straight league game without a victory.

Slaven Bilic's side also squandered the chance to go four points clear at the top and instead, allowed the likes of Leeds United and Fulham to remain within touching distance - there are just five points to third place now.

In a recent Q&A, fans were eager to learn about the potential dealings the club may complete before the deadline in just over a week. Madeley said:

"There will inevitably be other targets but the most likely deal at the moment seems to be for Mislav Orsic of Dinamo Zagreb.

"He has performed well in both the Croatian league and the Champions League this season, countryman Bilic is a fan and, at 27, he would still have a resale value at the end of an initial two or three-year deal.

"Dinamo are holding out for around €10 million (£8.5 million) while Albion currently value him at around half that but there is a belief on all sides that a compromise could happen as the transfer window reaches its final stages."

Who the heck is that?! Can you name all of these obscure West Brom players...

Diangana blow

On Monday night, Albion were dealt another setback as Grady Diangana was forced off after only four minutes despite being able to feature as a substitute last time out.

The 21-year-old could be out for another month, which spells bad news for Bilic as his team have won 14% of matches without him in the side compared to 62% when he does feature.

It means a move for a winger such as Orsic could be top priority as Chris Willock, who is yet to play for the senior side, and Kyle Edwards, who was snubbed for Hal Robson-Kanu against Stoke, aren't completely trusted by the Croatian boss.

In addition, his compatriot can play in a multitude of positions across the front three and has netted 19 goals in 26 appearances this term, including a hattrick in the Champions League against Atalanta.

And in other news, West Brom would be making a grave mistake if they pull out of their pursuit of £20m ace...
