West Bromwich Albion will be looking to continue their quest for promotion on Sunday afternoon as they are tasked with another tough test, this time in the form of Swansea City at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies head into the match on the back of a fifth straight victory in the league after defeating Preston North End 1-0, taking them to 42 points from just 19 matches.

And for the first time this season, Slaven Bilic is handed a selection headache over who gets their hands on that number nine role.

On the Chalkboard

Hal Robson-Kanu has been trusted with the starting job in the previous four matches, scoring twice in the process but his 85 minutes at Deepdale was particularly underwhelming.

The 30-year-old recorded a rating of 6.1 by SofaScore which was the lowest in the Baggies side as he managed just a 40% dribble success rate while he also lost possession 17 times.

Instead, Charlie Austin may be handed his first start since their victory over Stoke City at the beginning of November.

The £4m summer arrival has now netted three times off the bench in just as many games, having played no more than a total of 37 minutes either, via Transfermarkt.

A similar vein of form saw Bilic hand the Welshman a starting berth so it would make sense for him to replicate that with Austin.

The 30-year-old's season started off very slowly, managing just one league goal in 11 games but that appears to now be changing.

It could be a monumental confidence booster to hand him an opportunity from the first minute, and how can you ignore someone that has scored in three straight matches?

By contrast, not playing him could have an adverse effect and severely dent his morale.
