West Bromwich Albion may have pulled off a stunning comeback on Saturday afternoon but it came at the grave expense of an injury to enigmatic loan star Grady Diangana.

The Hammers man pulled up with a hamstring injury late in the first half, just 30 minutes after scoring the equaliser for the Baggies.

If the tear is bad, then he could face several weeks out, which comes as a worrying setback in Albion's quest for promotion this season.

Slaven Bilic's side went on to win the game 3-2 after his bold call to introduce Charlie Austin in the second half paid off. The 30-year-old fired home an eight-minute brace to hand the visitors all three points at St Andrew's Stadium.

The next man in line would appear to be Kyle Edwards, who came on for the 21-year-old, but might it time to grant a rare opportunity to Chris Willock.

He joined the west Midlands outfit on deadline day along with Matheus Pereira and Diangana himself, yet he's the only one to not feature in a senior game this term.

The former Arsenal man's lack of game time has led to reports suggesting that his parent club, Benfica, could allow him to join one of their Championship rivals as a result.

Willock has been doing everything asked of him in the U23 squad so far this campaign, scoring four goals and providing five assists, including one last time out against Manchester United's youth team.

The 21-year-old, who is valued at £1.35m, can't have a better chance to prove his worth than now. In fact, it would be a silly move from Bilic if he were to ignore him over the next few weeks.

Whose Line Is It Anyway: Michael Owen, Garth Crooks or Mark Lawrenson?

There's always the possibility that Diangana is recalled in January, so he might as well get a look at his potential replacement now before it is too late.

If given the chance, Willock needs to shine as time will not be of the essence. It could be his only opportunity.

And in other news, West Brom are finally starting to see why they splashed the cash on his man in the summer...
