Slaven Bilic’s Baggies have their unbeaten run still intact – just.

Wednesday night saw his side battle out a nervy encounter with Reading at the Hawthorns – needing a late penalty from substitute Kenneth Zohore to salvage a point from the match.

It means West Brom have had two 1-1 home draws and a pair of away victories so far this season, something that bodes well going into Saturday’s trip to Pride Park in the Championship’s early kick-off.

Eight of his players have started all four league games meaning he has only tinkered slightly here and there, but Wednesday’s performance raises some interesting but tough decisions.

This is the starting XI that we predict the Croatian will go with:

As aforementioned, Bilic has only tweaked a couple of areas over the course of the season so far – most notably in attack but he did throw in a surprise on Wednesday.

That being a change at right-back even though Nathan Ferguson had done no wrong as his debut highlighted when he earned the Man of the Match award. He has been a top performer and has an average rating of 7.09, per WhoScored.

Summer arrival Darnell Furlong came into the side last time out and was solid enough – attempting more tackles than anyone else in the match with six.

He could keep his place as a result of this performance.

The other conundrum is in attack – Zohore netted his first Baggies goal so it would make sense to keep him in the side considering this should be a confidence booster. It would mean fellow summer signing Charlie Austin drops to the bench yet again.

Out wide, it’s about time Matheus Pereira was given a start after three substitute appearances and the fans appear to already love him.

Grady Diangana couldn’t follow up his Luton exploits – a game-winning brace – so he may make way meaning it’s Matt Phillips or Kyle Edwards for the other spot with us predicting the former to just nick it.

He’s performed the better of the two, averaging the second-highest in the team with a rating of 7.13 compared to Edwards' 6.85, as per WhoScored.

The other usual culprits, the players that have started all four Championship matches are surely shoo-ins to continue that run – that includes the goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and Bilic's midfield trio of Filip Krovinovic, Romaine Sawyers and Jake Livermore.
