Jay Rodriguez has revived his career at West Bromwich Albion after falling flat in the latter stages of his Southampton spell.

The attacker has formed a decent trio with Dwight Gayle and Harvey Barnes as he hopes to be a factor in guiding the Baggies back into the Premier League.

His positive form has attracted interest from others, namely his former club Burnley, who according to Sky Sports News are ready to revive their interest.

The report claims that the Clarets had numerous offers rejected by West Brom during the summer months as they would not pay more than £16m.

Despite getting rebuffed, it is believed that the Premier League club are planning to launch a fresh move for Rodriguez when the window opens.

Perhaps the Baggies would have considered it before the season began, but the attacker has proven on the pitch that he is crucial to Darren Moore's team.

Jay Rodriguez season stats so far for West Brom

Rodriguez has been a regular threat up front, creating 39 shots in 15 Championship outings and he has also produced eight goals.

The 29-year-old has not only been a provider, he has helped produce attacking moves that have led to goals from his teammates.

The former Southampton star has also shown strength in the air by winning 34 aerial duels on the pitch.

West Brom would only hurt themselves if they allowed Rodriguez to leave mid-season, therefore they must do everything in their power to make sure that he lines up for the club in the New Year and beyond.
