West Bromwich Albion fans adore Moore for classy gesture following win over Reading

When Darren Moore was appointed as the permanent successor to Alan Pardew at West Bromwich Albion, not everyone was convinced.

The 44-year-old’s knowledge of the club is vast given that he spent five years of his playing career at The Hawthorns and has been part of their coaching setup since 2012.

Moore’s focus was on the youth squads until he became an established part of the first-team backroom staff in 2014.

Since becoming head coach at the end of last season, following the Baggies’ relegation from the Premier League, Moore has had a big task on his hands.

Pressure is on his shoulders to guide the club back to the promised land at the first time of asking, and at the moment everything is going to plan.

The club sit second in the Championship, one point adrift of leaders Sheffield United after picking up seven wins and three draws from 12 games.

On Saturday, West Brom’s unbeaten run extended to three when they earned a 4-1 triumph over Reading on home soil.

After the match, the club’s media team spotted Moore waiting inside the tunnel to shake hands with every Reading player.

His gesture was heavily praised by West Brom fans.
