West Bromwich Albion moved up to third in the Championship table on Tuesday night as they earned an exciting 4-2 victory over Bristol City.
Darren Moore’s priority is to achieve promotion back to the Premier League, and even though it is early days, the Baggies are currently four points adrift of leaders Leeds United.
Against Bristol City at The Hawthorns, the midfield and attack particularly impressed, but there was one man who stole the show.
Harvey Barnes was dynamite in the No. 10 role, and if fans did not feel it already, after Tuesday’s performance it is safe to say that many want the 20-year-old to make his loan from Leicester City permanent.
The youngster was involved in almost every attack, and his passing was on point as he provided assists for Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez, while also netting a goal of his own.
West Brom’s defending was questionable as they conceded twice, but after the final whistle fans could not stop raving about Barnes’s performance.
Barnes with out question man of the match last night the guy is a class act and at times unplayable , Sam Johnstone deserves huge credit if it was not for them saves earlier on could have been a different story , started 2 of our goals to 👍 #wba

Harvey Barnes put in one of the most exciting performances I’ve ever seen from an Albion player last night.
It was right up there with Koumas Vs Forrest.

Barnes was a stand out player tonight, you can’t give this lad space or he will steal your mrs he caused chaos to any defence with quick feet and the movement left the Bristol defence looking like a nuclear reactor had gone off.
