West Brom boss Steve Clarke will check on the fitness of Steven Reid before naming his side to play Manchester United on Sunday.
The full-back limped out of last weekend’s 4-1 defeat at Norwich but does have a chance of recovering in time to feature at the Hawthorns on Sunday.
Captain Chris Brunt returned from injury at Carrow Road with no ill-effects while Marc-Antoine Fortune is back from suspension as the Baggies look to end a run of three successive defeats.
The game will represent Sir Alex Ferguson’s 1,500th and final United match before retiring and his opposite number Clarke is full of praise for the impact his fellow Scot has made on the game.
“He’s at one of the biggest clubs in the world and they’ve gone from strength to strength,” Clarke told the club’s official website.
“Every year they have always been challenging for honours, so he’s done a fantastic job.”
