West Bromwich Albion have joined Leicester City in the race for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack, according to The Sun on Sunday (September 16, page 63).

What's the word?

The Baggies were linked with a move for the 24-year-old in the summer, but nothing came to fruition.

Now that the midfielder has started the season strongly, the link has resurfaced, with The Sun on Sunday (September 16, page 63) reporting that both the Baggies and Leicester City are interested.

Dack played a major part in getting Blackburn promoted from League One last season.

In this campaign, he has already scored three times in four outings, which has boosted his tally to 23 goals in 50 appearances.

Do West Brom have a chance?

The report states that a move is likely to be made in January, which could weaken the Baggies' chances depending on where they are in the Championship table.

Darren Moore's priority is to achieve promotion to the Premier League, and right now the club sit eighth in the Championship standings.

So far, the Baggies, who were relegated to the second tier last season, have won three, drawn two and lost two.

If Leicester come calling midway through the season, then Dack could be lured away by top-flight football.

If Blackburn refuse to sell in January, then West Brom should reassess when the transfer window opens in the summer.
