Chelsea will be hoping to claim just their third Premier League win since Christmas as they face a West Ham United side who are battling near the foot of the table.

The Blues will be hoping for a much-improved performance than that of the one delivered against Fulham last week, and it’s likely Graham Potter will make some changes.

Kai Havertz had a game to forget, receiving a Sofascore rating of just 5.8/10 for his wasteful performance as the club failed to find the net for the second league game on the bounce.

They have scored just three times in 2023 and the Englishman will be selecting a starting XI which could give them the best possible chance to not only secure all three points but to score a few goals in the process.

How will Chelsea lineup against West Ham?

Having kept seven clean sheets in 13 league matches, unsurprisingly, Kepa will retain his place in goal and will be aiming for his fourth shutout in a row.

The back four will remain unchanged from the 0-0 draw with the Cottagers.

Reece James and Marc Cucurella will occupy spots on the right and left-hand side of the defence, while the centre-back pairing will comprise of Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile. The duo made eight clearances between them against Fulham and a mixture of youth and experience has worked well recently.

January signing Enzo Fernandez will be the heartbeat of Potter’s side, starting yet again in the centre of midfield, and with a Sofascore rating of 7.6 for his display against Fulham, he could soon be worth every bit of the £107m that the club paid for him.

Alongside him will be Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount.

The front three will be the area in which Potter makes the most changes, with Havertz and Hakim Ziyech both being dropped to the bench.

Mykhaylo Mudryk will keep his spot on the left wing, however, Joao Felix will come back into the side following his suspension and replace Havertz in a more central role. The Moroccan international will be replaced on the right flank by new signing Noni Madueke.

The 20-year-old was praised by Saul Isaksson-Hurst, who said: “He's one of the best, if not the best young forward player in Europe.”

And unleashing a player like this from the start could get Chelsea’s creative juices flowing once again.

Chelsea’s predicted XI: Kepa; James, Silva, Badiashile, Cucurella; Gallagher, Fernandez, Mount; Madueke, Felix, Mudryk
