Crystal Palace have been handed a huge boost ahead of their clash against Sheffield United with Wilfried Zaha having been declared fit.

It was revealed that the Ivorian winger was carrying a problem in the Eagles’ last Premier League clash against Manchester City, with a few potential worries that he might not have been fit for this weekend’s trip to Bramall Lane.

However, Palace manager Roy Hodgson has allayed such fears, stating that Zaha is “raring to go” ahead of the clash with the Blades on Saturday afternoon.

His inclusion within the Eagles’ squad and, most probably, the starting XI will be a huge boost to Hodgson and his side’s chances of winning the game in Yorkshire. Once again, Zaha has of course been one of the most inspirational players at Selhurst Park throughout 2020/21.

With his goal against Leicester City a few weeks ago, he notched his 10th strike of the season – his second double-figure campaign in his last three years.

Those goals have certainly been crucial to the Eagles this season, being worth eight points to their total. Without Zaha, Hodgson’s men would be sitting 17th on 30 points and firmly embroiled in the battle against relegation.

As a matter of fact, in the eight matches that the 28-year-old has missed in the Premier League this season, the Eagles have only won one – underlining just how crucial he is to the team.

Even the winger’s Crystal Palace teammates are aware of how important he can be, with Jairo Riedewald hailing him as “dangerous”.

The figures would suggest that the Eagles' chances of doing the double over Championship-bound Sheffield United this term are greatly strengthened by Zaha's probable inclusion today, and he could hold the key to them putting an end to their losing streak.
