Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Scott Dann, after he helped the Eagles record a third successive clean sheet and win with a 1-0 victory over Watford.

The former Blackburn centre-back - who came close to leaving Selhurst Park in January - was starting his third game in a row after James Tomkins and Mamadou Sakho picked up injuries recently.

On a day where both Ismaila Sarr and Troy Deeney were shut out, it's safe to say that Dann performed well.

The 33-year-old - who signed for Palace in January 2014 - made eight clearances against the Hornets, and also completed 82.1% of his passes. Only Jordan Ayew ended the game with a better pass accuracy for the Eagles.

Roy Hodgson's side have now won three games in a row, all of which have ended 1-0, meaning that Dann hasn't conceded a goal in 270 minutes of action.

Dann also made one key pass against Nigel Pearson's men, and seemingly headed everything that Watford threw at him and Gary Cahill away.

His efforts mean that Palace now sit comfortably in 11th on 39 points - just six points off fourth-place Chelsea before Sunday's action kicks off.

Let's see what the Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about Dann...

To kick off the reaction, two fans pinpointed the fact that Dann is far from being Hodgson's first-choice centre-back, but has filled in brilliantly while the likes of Sakho and Tomkins have been missing.

Will then added that the Palace No.6 was colossal against Watford - he really is enjoying a mini purple patch having made just four Premier League starts before his recent run of three in a row, which began against Newcastle.

Elsewhere, Dann was branded as class and also a great servant to the club by some more fans.

Also, George picked up on the fact that the centre-back has now made ten appearances this season, and Palace have kept a highly-impressive six clean sheets in those games - of the nine Premier League fixtures he has appeared in this term, the south Londoners have only lost three.
