Matt Woosnam has hailed Crystal Palace's early transfer business and believes two new arrivals will go on to be a hit at Selhurst Park.

Palace have already signed Marc Guehi, Michael Olise, Remi Matthews and Jacob Montes this summer.

The Athletic's Eagles reporter Woosnam has high hopes for Guehi and Olise.

England under-21 international Guehi has joined from Premier League rivals Chelsea in what is reported to be a £20million deal, having caught the eye during a loan spell with Championship side Swansea City.

The 21-year-old central defender made 45 appearances for the Swans as they were denied a return to the Premier League by Brentford in last season's play-off final.

Olise, 19, became Patrick Vieira's first signing in July, with the attacker joining for £8million.

He has made the switch having been named the EFL's young player of the year thanks to a stellar season with Reading.

Woosnam believes the duo show Vieira is trying to build a youthful squad at Selhurst Park and the journalist is expecting more arrivals.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, he said: "I think there's going to be a handful of signings.

"In Marc Guehi and Michael Olise, they have signed two of the Championship's best up-and-coming players. I think that's a really strong, solid start to the recruitment.

"It's clear that they're casting their net far and wide and looking at a lot of players. There's no doubt about that."
