According to SDNA, Crystal Palace and Southampton are interested in signing Olympiacos goalkeeper Jose Sa, who they also mention is 'reportedly' wanted by West Ham too - the news of the Hammers' interest originates from Estadio Deportivo.

What's the word, then?

Well, there is no denying that the Portuguese glovesman is hot property right now.

Along with the Premier League trio, La Liga outfit Real Betis are also keen on acquiring the 27-year-old's signature.

Sa has made 41 appearances in all competitions for the Greek giants this season, keeping a hugely impressive 24 clean sheets while only conceding 27 goals in total - not bad at all.

His efforts have helped Olympiacos reach the last 16 of the Europa League, while his side currently sit top of the Greek Super League by seven points.

Could be disastrous news for Wayne Hennessey

If Roy Hodgson does manage to bring the man who is rated at £3.15m on Transfermarkt to Selhurst Park, Wayne Hennessey should be worried.

Why?

Well, the Wales international has fallen well behind Vicente Guaita in the pecking order, with the Spaniard now the undisputed No.1 at Selhurst Park and rightly so - the former Getafe keeper has kept an impressive nine clean sheets in 27 Premier League games this season, limiting Hennessey to just two league appearances.

In that respect, it feels unlikely that Hodgson would be bringing Sa to south London as a replacement for Guaita, which should mean alarm bells start ringing for the ex-Wolves glovesman's chances of game time, which are already pretty lifeless.

Sa is also six years younger than the 33-year-old Welshman, so it would make sense for Crystal Palace to bring the Portuguese keeper to Selhurst Park, let him adapt to the English game before replacing the 33-year-old Guaita, who will not be able to hold things down in between the sticks for many more years.

Hennessey can only hope that West Ham, Southampton or Real Betis beat the Eagles to Sa's signature.
