Recent reports from Italy have seen Crystal Palace linked with a move for Napoli star Hirving Lozano, with the winger touted to leave the club despite settling well after his big-money move from PSV.

Speaking to FootballFanCast, Pete O’Rourke delivered the following claim on the 56-cap ace late last week:

“Yeah [he] would be a huge signing, Hirving Lozano. I think a real top player across the world, a Mexican international.

"Was a big signing for Napoli as well when they signed him from PSV, so for Crystal Palace to be in that market looking at him just shows where Crystal Palace are looking to go right now.

“They’re looking like building an exciting young team under Patrick Vieira and they’ll be hoping to build upon an impressive last term in this new season as well.”

However, the Naples club still have a strong bargaining position as the Mexican speedster still has two years left on his £112k-per-week deal.

The 5 foot 7 menace may not come cheap, but luring this highly-rated winger to Selhurst Park could be a stroke of genius for Patrick Vieira, as he could form a fantastic partnership with talisman Wilfried Zaha.

Last season the Ivorian bagged 14 times in the league as Palace finished in a comfortable 12th place.

To add Lozano’s 11 goal contributions could be a masterstroke and could help propel Vieira’s ever-growing, youthful and exciting side even further up the table.

Dubbed “wonderful” by Liam Canning, and more appropriately “electric” by Joe Flemons, the man who has lit up almost every league he has featured in. His incredible speed and an eye for a goal have earned him huge interest from plenty of Europe’s elite.

Last season he featured in the 86th percentile for progressive carries, and Premier League full-backs will be terrified at the prospect of facing both Lozano and Zaha next season.

The two are incredibly similar in terms of play style, enjoying taking on defenders with speed and skill. Vieira must do everything to secure this incredible winger and only add to his incredible attacking options.
