Deadline day never ceases to amaze in its hyperbole, misinformation and ability to get us all whipped into a frenzy about absolutely nothing.

Take rumours of Chelsea being interested in a deadline day swoop for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, for example. Sky Sports claim the Blues are keen but would have to stump up a staggering £40million - an outrageous sum for a 20-year-old striker, even if he has enjoyed a fine start to his career in Scottish football.

Indeed, the former Fulham man has notched up 20 goals across all competitions this term, including three goals in the Champions League's group stages and a brace against the Blues' title rivals Manchester City.

Nonetheless, it appears Chelsea fans are keen to see some action before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline. We asked them earlier today whether Dembele was worth a last-minute £40million punt and a staggering 74% of those who voted want Antonio Conte to put the money on the table.

Indeed, despite currently being eight points clear, it seems not all Blues supporters are convinced the current squad is strong enough to go all the way in the title race. Unfortunately for them, however, there hasn't been much news on the Dembele front since the early hours.
