The start that Manolo Gabbiaini has made to life in England has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has scored five goals in just three appearances, with a double in the EFL Cup quickly turning him into a household name in the Premier League.

Unsurprisingly, then, discussion has quickly turned away from his fine performances on the pitch, and on to whether the Saints will be able to hold on to their star striker come the end of the season. After all, the club has - in the past - often been unable to hold on to their most impressive talent, with the likes of Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw all moving on to pastures new in recent years.

Under Claude Puel, though, that trend has slowly started to slow down: the Frenchman has seemingly been keen to grow and improve upon his side rather than have to start afresh next season.

There is always that risk, though, and whilst Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger recently told TalkSport that major players wouldn't be leaving in the summer - this tale certainly sounds like one that has been told before, and the ending often isn't very good for the Saints.

Given Gabbiadini's fine form, then, we recently asked fans if they thought that Southampton would be able to hold on to the striker come the end of the season, and it would appear as though they are firmly behind the club, and believe what Ralph Krueger has been saying, with a whopping 77% of those polled confident that the striker won't be leaving the club this summer.

Conversely, then, just 23% of fans think that Southampton's selling trend will continue - which says a lot about how opinion has changed of the South Coast outfit since the arrival of Claude Puel.
