According to reports from The Independent, Arsenal would rather let Alexis Sanchez's contract expire than lose their talismanic attacker to a Premier League rival during the summer transfer window.

The Chile international has been in fine form once again this season, finishing up the Premier League campaign with 24 goals and ten assists, but his future at the Emirates Stadium remains uncertain - with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season.

Talks over an extension have come to no avail and Chelsea are reportedly keen to whisk him away from north London this summer, Antonio Conte deeming Sanchez the perfect signing to continue evolving his title-winning side.

Nonetheless, it appears Arsenal would rather let Sanchez leave on a free transfer in twelve months than sell him to the Premier League champions this summer, so we asked Gunners fans earlier this week whether they agreed with that stance.

And according to the results of our poll, the majority of Arsenal fans would rather their club cashed in on Sanchez this summer than run the risk of him leaving for nothing at the end of next season.
