Everyone connected with Liverpool football club must have enjoyed seeing Crystal Palace beat Arsenal last night, strengthening their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

The Reds are now nine points clear of the Gunners and, while they have two games in hand on Jurgen Klopp's side, can now focus on simply staying away from Manchester United.

In fact, interestingly enough, one man who helped Liverpool's cause last night could actually reap the rewards of mixing it in the Champions League donning the famous red shirt next season.

Palace defender Mamadou Sakho, who moved to south London on loan during the January transfer window has been a revelation since his switch. Granted, the visitors did little to truly test him last night, though his block from an Alexis Sanchez shot kept the Eagles ahead at a crucial juncture in the game.

So, with none of Liverpool's current defenders looking overly convincing right now, we asked our Football FanCast readers what exactly they would do with Sakho this summer.

Keep him at all costs? Sell him for good money?

Well, 58% of you voted to retain his services at all costs, while 42% would sell him if the right offer came in. It seems that, though he has indeed impressed of late, there remains an element of doubt amongst some supporters as Liverpool look to finally sort out their defence.
