West Ham face a tough start to the new Premier League season, an ever-tricky trip to Old Trafford, but will feel they're more than capable of conquering the challenge following a summer of ambitious recruitment in east London.

Indeed, the Hammers have added four impressive additions to their starting XI in Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez and all eyes will be on the latter signing this Sunday, having once made his name as Manchester United's free-scoring super-sub.

But whether Chicharito is ready for a starting role remains open to debate. He's not enjoyed a full pre-season with the Irons and was famously at his most effective from the Premier League when featuring from the bench.

Youngster Toni Martinez, meanwhile, has impressed in pre-season and is rapidly growing a reputation amongst the Hammers faithful.

With that in mind, we asked Irons supporters earlier this week who should get the nod on Sunday and although Hernandez won our poll, it's incredibly interesting that the prodigious Spaniard picked up 36% of the vote.

After years and years of moaning about their strikers, it appears West Ham now have two the fans are getting behind.
