Tottenham Hotspur are amid a rather tricky transfer window. Mauricio Pochettino will struggle to strengthen a starting XI lacking a truly notable weak link without spending big, suggesting the Argentine must focus on adding options to his squad instead who can offer him something a little different.

That appears to have pushed the Lilywhites towards targeting a creative midfielder, with Everton's Ross Barkley and AC Milan's Suso - formerly of Liverpool fame - both linked with moves to White Hart Lane by London Evening Standard and Calcio Mercato respectively.

Barkley bagged five goals and eight assists for Everton last season but he was arguably outperformed by Suso, who Transfermarkt value at £12.75million, with seven goals and nine assists in Serie A.

Bearing that in mind, we asked Tottenham supporters earlier this week which attacking midfielder they'd rather see the Lilywhites sign this summer and according to our poll, the fan-base is split almost equally down the middle, with 51% voting for the England international and 49% voting for Suso.

It appears whichever midfielder Pochettino signs this summer, a significant chunk of Spurs fans will be disappointed.
