Now facing the prospect of slipping into a bum-squeaking relegation battle, the summer transfer window can't come around soon enough for West Ham fans.

It will give the Irons the chance to bolster a squad that simply hasn't lived up to its billing during a debut season at the London Stadium, not only struggling in the Premier League but also failing to make progress in Europe at the start of the campaign.

One potential target reportedly already on their radar is Liverpool loanee Lazar Markovic, who has put in some impressive performances since signing for Hull City in January - coming to a head on Wednesday night with his first goal for the Tigers in a 4-2 win over Middlesbrough.

But the Serbian international's performances during his first season at Anfield paled in comparison, so needless to say, not everybody's been convinced by the notion of West Ham's reported plans for a £16m swoop.

In fact, we asked West Ham fans earlier this week whether they'd be in favour of the mooted deal and according to our exclusive poll, Hammers supporters are as divided as it can get, with 51% in favour and 49% against.
