No club in Europe will be fending off more interest in their key players this summer than Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.
Leonardo Jardim’s side are unexpectedly honing in on the French title and also made it all the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they were eventually eliminated by Juventus earlier this week.
Monaco have developed a young, exceptionally talented attacking team and plenty of clubs are throwing their prodigious stars flirtatious glances – Chelsea, for example, are reportedly in the market for powerful midfielder Tiemou Bakayoko.
The Blues will certainly need new recruits this summer if they’re to produce the Premier League’s first successful title defence since 2009 next season, so we asked Chelsea fans earlier this week whether they’d back a summer transfer swoop for the 22-year-old.
And according to our poll, a whopping 71% of Chelsea supporters would be in favour of such a deal. Looks like it’s time for Roman Abramovich to get his chequebook out.
