Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will have some tough decisions to make this summer, especially if his side claim the Premier League title as expected.
The Blues boast a fantastic squad but the Italian gaffer will want to bring it closer towards his own philosophy, whilst acquiring another dimension to give his side a real chance of becoming the Premier League’s first successful title retainers since 2009.
Inevitably, some players will emerge as more expendable than others in the final weeks before the summer window and even some fan favourites at Stamford Bridge will be moved on – not least including Captain, Leader, Legend John Terry.
Another favourite who could well get the cut is Cesc Fabregas, who has proved himself a huge asset to Chelsea’s title charge in a cameo berth this term, notching up four goals and nine assists, but doesn’t instantly command a place in Conte’s 3-4-3 set-up.
But following links with AC Milan, we asked Blues fans earlier this week whether their club should cash in on the soon-to-be 30-year-old during the summer transfer window and the result of our exclusive poll was a resounding no, with 71% voting against letting him leave for the San Siro.
Provided Fabregas is happy to stay on in a bit-part role, Conte might be wise to keep him in west London for at least another year.
