West Ham fans endured a tough first season at London Stadium as everything from crowd trouble to transfer sagas and a government investigation compounded inconsistent performances on the pitch.

However, Slaven Bilic's side showed at times that there is the makings of something special in east London if they can add correctly over the summer months.

One area that is certainly in need of improvement is in the goals department. The Hammers are lacking a 15/20 goal striker to feed off the creatives talents of Manuel Lanzini, Michail Antonio and Robert Snodgrass.

One man who could potentially offer such statistics is out-of-favour Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge who, having fallen down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp, looks to be leaving Anfield sooner rather than later and has been linked with Stratford.

However, across the capital Chelsea's late season hero Michy Batshuayi, rated at £21.25m, has been mooted as a potential target for Bilic before August.

With two classy strikers in the mix, we put the question out to West Ham fans as to who they would rather see in claret and blue next season, and it's a rather damning result for Sturridge with Batshuayi taking a whopping 71% of the vote.
