Revealed: 74% of Man United fans would back Willian swoop

One of Jose Mourinho’s priorities┬áthis summer will be to sign players who bring the Manchester United squad he inherited from Louis van Gaal closer towards his own philosophy. Thus, it seems a few swoops for some of the Portuguese’s former chargers are in order.

The Red Devils have already been linked with one in the form of Chelsea winger Willian, courtesy of The Express. He grabbed the Player of the Year award at Stamford Bridge last season but has struggled for game-time since Antonio Conte took the helm in the summer – and particularly since he made the campaign-defining switch to 3-4-3.

The Express claim Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for the Brazil international and that United are likely to be at the front of the queue for his services after trying to sign him last summer, so we asked Red Devils fans earlier this week whether they’d back such a transfer deal.

And according to the result of our poll, a whopping 74% of United fans are keen to see Willian arrive at Old Trafford this summer. But can Mourinho convince his former employers to sell to a direct divisional rival? We’ll have to wait and see.
