Often mocked and labelled the Champions League’s runt sibling, the Europa League is widely seen as a hindrance rather than a priority by some of the biggest clubs across the continent.

This has very much been the case for Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United this season, with the Portuguese boss having often rotated his XI for games as he balances the Thursday night schedule with weekend domestic action, while he’s even said that he will not treat the competition as a priority until the quarter-final stage.

Alas, we have quizzed fans and a whopping 80% of those who voted in our poll earlier this week believe that the Europa League should be held in higher regard by the Manchester giants between now and the end of the end of the season over the FA Cup.

Although it remains mathematically possible for Man United to win the Premier League, it’s extremely unlikely they will overhaul Chelsea and the other four teams above them, while finishing in the top four remains a tough ask for them.
