Chelsea have pulled off some impressive business already this summer, snapping up the likes of Alvaro Morara, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko, but recent reports from Sky Sports suggest Antonio Conte’s shopping spree is far from finished.
Indeed, they claim the Premier League champions are eyeing four more ‘big-name’ signings, whilst they’re also interested in Southampton duo Ryan Bertrand and Cedric Soares.
The latter defender particularly strikes a chord because Conte is yet to address the right side of his 3-4-3 formation after depending on Victor Moses, a winger-forward by trade, to undertake the role last season.
Therefore, we asked Chelsea fans earlier this week whether they’d back a summer swoop for the Portugal international, who has represented his country on 22 occasions and featured as they won the European Championship last summer.
And according to our poll, a staggering 82% of Chelsea fans would be keen on their club signing the 25-year-old defender. Under contract until 2020, however, Southampton will argue they have no need to sell.
