West Ham quite simply need to sign a striker during the summer transfer window.

Slaven Bilic has once again found himself too reliant on crocked goalscorer Andy Carroll this season and rather tellingly, his Hammers side won just seven games without the towering target man in the starting lineup throughout 2016/17.

Indeed, if West Ham are to achieve the kind of league standing worthy of their new stadium, it's essential Bilic brings in a reliable goalscorer this summer, preferably a long-term acquisition who can lead the line for the many years to come.

One potential solution comes in the form of Kelechi Iheanacho, who was linked with a summer move to east London by ESPN last week.

With that in mind, we asked West Ham fans whether they'd back a summer swoop for the Manchester City youngster and according to our poll, a whopping 85% of Hammers fans would be in favour of such a deal.

ESPN reckon City are prepared to consider bids above the £20million mark for the Nigerian international.
