Returning to the Premier League next season after a year in the Championship, many expected Newcastle United to be one of the top flight's busiest clubs by now.

After all, the Magpies will be expected to do more than simply stave off relegation next season and Rafa Benitez has already made his feelings clear about the ambitiousness the club should show during the summer transfer window.

Nonetheless, Newcastle's only signing thus far is Christian Atsu from Chelsea, who spent last season on loan at St. James' Park anyway.

But recent reports from The Daily Star suggest another arrival could be just around the corner in the form of Vincent Aboubakar, who netted 19 times on loan at Besiktas last season and also boasts 18 goals for Cameroon.

With that in mind, we asked Magpies fans last week whether they'd back a summer swoop for the 60-cpa international and according to our poll, a staggering 88% would welcome him to Tyneside with open arms. Clearly, Benitez needs to get this deal over the line.
