Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands recently admitted that his club would not move for PSV Eindhoven attacker Hirving Lozano unless the Mexico international could be signed for a figure in the region of £20m.
The fact that Lozano is unproven in a major European league has seen Brands place that particular value on the Mexico international.
There is no question that the attacker has talent, however, and a record of 15 goals and eight assists in 27 PSV appearances this season is very impressive indeed.
Everton are not exactly flying at the moment, and could certainly do with bringing in another attacker to aid Richarlison, who cannot do it all alone.
We recently asked the Everton fans whether their club should move for Lozano, and it did not come as much of a surprise to learn that 90% of those polled were in favour of the deal.
