Revealed: Liverpool fans vote Alexander-Arnold Man of the Match vs Hoffenheim

Undefeated at home for the entirety of last season, Liverpool’s trip to Hoffenheim on Tuesday night represented a huge potential banana skin in the club’s bid to make the Champions League proper.

But the Reds sidestepped it in convincing style, claiming two vital away goals to take into the second leg whilst only having their defence penetrated once in the closing stages as Mark Uth netted a late consolation strike.

Defensive frailty away from home once again will have left some Reds supporters concerned, but it was a strong display overall and some individual performances truly stood out.

With that in mind, we asked Liverpool fans earlier this week to vote for their Man of the Match from the 2-1 win in Champions League qualifying and it was youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold who won our poll.
