The immediate future of James Rodriguez has been a major talking point in transfer rumour columns over the last few days.
Following reports from AS and Marca highlighting Manchester United’s interest in the Real Madrid attacker, Sky Sports claimed that he’s already been offered to the Old Trafford outfit in a potential £50million deal.
Where the Colombian international would fit into the Red Devils’ starting XI, however, remains open to some debate. On the other hand, he’d be perfect for one of the wide forward slots in Chelsea’s 3-4-3 setup and the reigning Premier League champions were also linked by Marca earlier this week.
With that in mind, we asked Blues supporters whether their club should look to hijack any potential deal United strike up to sign Rodriguez this summer and according to our poll, 59% of Chelsea fans would be open to such a Machiavellian manoeuvre in the transfer market.
The 25-year-old has endured a troubled spell at the Bernabeu, but showed during the 2014 World Cup what a capable goal threat he is – walking away from Brazil with the Golden Boot.
