Ross Barkley may well have kicked his last ball for Everton, with the Premier League coming to a close yesterday.

The England international's Toffees contract is due to expire at the end of next season, meaning Everton may be forced to cash-in on him this summer, and he's certainly not short of admirers in the Premier League - Tottenham Hotspur being one of the strong favourites to land his services.

But recent reports from The Daily Star suggest Spurs are tempted to turn their attentions elsewhere because Everton have priced Barkley at a staggering £50million, with former charger Gylfi Sigurdsson now the object of their affections.

The Iceland international may lack what the 23-year-old offers in longevity but he's just come to the end of a fantastic season, bagging nine goals and 13 assists to keep Swansea City in the top flight.

With that in mind, we asked Spurs fans last week who they'd rather sign - the Swans talisman or the Toffees ace - and although our poll was by no means conclusive, 54% voted in Barkley's favour.

But, is Barkley truly worth £50million? Let us know by commenting below...
